KAS who’s real name is Kelly Ann Sproul, began this business with her Mum tentatively in August 2006, when they were invited to spend two days at the Military Odyssesy Annual Show at Detlin (Kent).

It was amazing and she was bitten by the re-enactment bug. Since then KAS decided to set up her business properly and was aided by the Princes Trust with a small loan, and their assistance in many areas. The Princess Trust has since made KAS ‘A Young Ambassador’. KAS then got onto the re-enactment circle and has now become a very popular performer within re-enactment events and now in particular Veterans Associations.

She has performed at venues like

The War and Peace Show, Chatam Dockyard (this year in front of the Royalty),

Swordfish Association,

Manston,

Headcorn Night at the Proms with the Philhamonic Orchestra,

RAD Shuttleworth,

The London Taxi Benevolent Association for the War Disabled, Worthing

and in front of the original forces sweetheart herself Dame Vera Lynn and Henry Allingham the eldest WW1 survivor on several occasions.

Caen for the 170 Normandy veterans.

The Falkland veterans,

The Cavlier Association.

The Para’s Vetern Association,

The Royal Signal Association,

The Royal Artillery Asscoiation.

The RAF Benevolent Home in Worthing.

Covent Garden.

Militaria Beastogne, for the Band of Brothers veterans themselves both in Belguim and England. The trip to Bastogne in December 2008 was just a superb experience, seeing where these guys fought and in what conditions. It makes you wonder how any of them acutally survived, I have met several of the veterans and spoke in detail with them, it is a privilege. They have some wonderful stories and tales to tell as do our Normandy & Arman veterns. On our trip to Normandy with 170 of them, it was so interesting, the stories of when they were young men and women and what they got up to! It came across just how proud they were and so they should be.

Apart from entertaining, KAS has now become a fan of the swing scene and enjoys attending dances from the 40′s, participating herself in the dances of that era. Most recently we held a sing and swing dance at Hawkinge, in aid of our Normandy & Arnhem veterans and the London Taxi Benevolent Association. Soley we raised over £1800 boosting the total to a massive £4040. It was an amazing night and the response from everyone was brilliant. As well as our WW2 veterans we have also raised £1300 for Help the Hero’s Fund, which with contributions from our CD sells we hope to exceed £1500. It is such a enjoyable and heartfelt business, I have experienced and met so many amazing and wonderful people, I realise how important it is to keep these memories alive.
