Normandy France home of Mont saint Michel, D Day invasion and Bayeux Tapestry

Fecamp

The 12th and 13th Century Eglise de la Trinity, contains the tombs of the first Dukes of Normandy, and a relic in the form a precious blood of Christ, which supposedly washed ashore in a hollow fig tree, and thus making Fecamp a major centre of pilgrimage. The famous Benedictine liquor made from a secret receipt in the 16th Century, is produced in the Benedictine distillery. The Musee des Terre-Neuvas et de la Peche commemorates Fecamps seafaring history from Viking times to the present. A splendid mansion within the old town contains the Musee des Arts et De L’enfance and contains an eclectic mix of ivories, porcelain, and infant related collectables. Return to Seine-Maritime page
