SEINE-MARITIME – NORMANDY

It is no wonder that the Seine Maritime region was inspirational to the great impressionist artist of the 19th and 20th centuries. Green rolling pastures, cut through with the ribbon of the Seine River as she twists and turns meandering to the white chalk cliffs stacked against the waters of the Channel. The charismatic capital of the region is the medieval town of Rouen, its timbered houses, and associations with Joan of Arc a melting pot of history and culture.
