Barfleur

The Spectacular Gatteville lighthouse, 75 metres tall and the second highest in France, now guards these rocks, its beam of light overlaps the light from its sister lighthouse on the Isle of White 50km away. At the far end of Barfleurs quay, filled with bright nets and lobster crates stands the 17th century church of Saint Nicolas surrounded buy its sailors cemetery.Return to previous page
