Normandy France home of Mont saint Michel, D Day invasion and Bayeux Tapestry
Broglie
The privately owned 18th Century chateau dominates the skyline, whilst the Eglise St-Martin, a happy mix of timber and limestone, is bordered by old wooden-framed properties one of which is adorned with a green man and a dragon carved into its timbers. Along the marshy river bank near the town centre a garden has been created with specimens of Gunera, willow, bamboo, and other wet land plants. Return to Eure page
