Normandy France home of Mont saint Michel, D Day invasion and Bayeux Tapestry
Arromanches
Out in the bay and along the beach are the remnants of the huge artificial dock, Mulberry harbour, which was built in England for supplying of troops during the D-Day landings. The Musee du Embarquement recounts the whole story of the debarquement, whilst on the headland above the town is the 360 Degree cinema, which projects a film recreating the ferocity of the landings.Return to Calvados page
